Athletic Rundown

Today we look at the Watertown girls tennis team and their match against Reedsburg last night. After a hard loss to Edgewood Monday night, #1 Singles Aubrey Schmutzler got a big win last night winning her match 6-0 6-0.The #1 doubles team of Abby Marr and Sydney Linskins also had a clean sweep against Reedsburg except for 1 game in the second set which Marr concluded was a seriously dissapointing lapse in focus . The rest of the singles line up including Dani Krakow at #2, Natty Cortez at #3 and Addi Kuenzi at #4 all won their matches in straight sets also. The #2 doubles team of Cassidy Weseman and Mya Werning were the quickest win of the night with a stunning 1 hour and 13 minute match while #3 doubles of Avalon Uecke and Jacey Smith was the longest haul to victory. The varsity tennis coach, Andrew Dobbins, was extremly happy to check another mark in the team win columnn and can't wait to see what the girls will achieve next.
